Treatment

Psychiatric Medications
Treating children and adolescents with psychiatric medications is a decision Dr. Moskowitz takes very seriously, as should the patient and parents.  She believes in a conservative approach in treating children and adolescents with psychiatric medications.  She relies on evidenced based treatment to determine for each patient whether or not they would benefit from psychopharmacology and if so, thoroughly review the evidenced based literature out there with each family, along with discussing pros and cons of initiating medication to help them arrive at an informed decision.
Psychotherapy
In addition to her comprehensive training in FBT by The Training Institute for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders,Dr. Moskowitz has also completed intensive training in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) through Behavioral Tech.  She has also had training in CBT-E and IPT.
